Solar Installers in Canada
Compare verified solar panel installers in every Canadian province and major city. Real customer reviews, transparent tier badges, service-area coverage, and free quote matching. We're independent — SolarQuotes.ca doesn't install; we're a directory + lead-matching service.
How we vet Canadian solar installers
SolarQuotes.ca lists solar panel installation companies across all 10 Canadian provinces and 3 territories. Each listing starts as a public business record (city or provincial business registry, Google Business Profile, provincial licensing board), gets cross-referenced against the Canadian Solar Industries Association (CanSIA / CanREA) member list where applicable, and then enters our directory as an unclaimed free-tier listing. Installers can claim their listing by proving they operate the business, after which they get a "Claimed" badge and the option to upgrade to Featured ($79/mo) or Premium ($199/mo) placement.
We publish three independent badges because they measure different things, and conflating them was a trust problem in Canadian directories before 2025. Claimed means the business owner has verified they operate the listing. Info Verified means our editorial team has reviewed their business info (address, service area, provincial licensing) against primary sources within the last 12 months. Featured / Premium indicates a paid advertising tier — it is a marketing signal, not a quality signal, and we label it as such. A listing can carry all three, any one, or none; a free unclaimed listing with no reviews is clearly marked as such.
Lead routing is tier-gated by design. When a homeowner uses our calculator or quote form, matched installers must have (a) opted in to receive referral leads and (b) be on a paid tier. Free-tier installers appear in the directory and get organic traffic from their profile page, but do not receive auto-matched quote-request emails — that's a paid perk. This policy prevents the common directory failure mode where leads get fired at a wall of installers who never respond, and the homeowner waits in silence.
Province coverage is strongest in Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, Quebec, Nova Scotia, and Manitoba in that order. New Brunswick, PEI, Newfoundland, Saskatchewan, and the three territories have fewer listings per capita, but every active province has at least one verified installer in the directory. We prioritize listing installers who operate in their stated service area — a Toronto installer appearing in the Vancouver results was a bug we fixed in Q2 2026 by storing an explicit serviceAreas array per installer, not just a head-office postal code.
Our directory listings for installers with reviews, Claimed status, Verified status, or a paid tier are included in the sitemap; thin listings without any of those signals are kept crawlable via internal links but excluded from the sitemap to protect crawl budget. If you're an installer looking to join or claim your listing, the claim and advertise pages walk through the process.
